What's new in Maps on March 26?

We have another big batch of news—including the opening of long-awaited routes and an update on the expanding road network in Poland.

Ready to open:

• Expansion of the bridge over the Vistula River in Sandomierz to two lanes – the crossing will have increased capacity, which will improve travel through the city
• The Parszów and Wielka Wieś Bypass – a new route that bypasses the town centers in the Ostrowiec County, reducing travel time
• The Słupsk Ring Road – Poznańska–Bohaterów Westerplatte – another section of Słupsk’s downtown bypass is ready to open to traffic
• S19 Kock and Wola Skromowska Bypass (2nd carriageway) – full dual carriageway on another section of Via Carpatii
• The Chełm Bypass as part of the S12 Expressway – this long-awaited project will allow drivers to bypass the center of Chełm

We are monitoring the official opening dates for these routes and will make them available in AutoMapa as soon as they are open to traffic.

Major construction projects included on the maps:

• Morawica Southern Bypass – Work is underway on the new bypass in the town located in the Kielce County
• A2 sections Łukowisko–Swory and Swory–Biała Podlaska – construction of further sections of the highway toward Poland’s eastern border
• S7 Kraków Mistrzejowice–Kraków Nowa Huta – a new section of the S7 route within the Kraków metropolitan area
• S10 Bydgoszcz–Toruń – Construction has begun on the missing expressway link between the two largest cities in Kujawy
• S19 – additional sections of the Via Carpatia: Sokołów Małopolski–Jasionka (2nd carriageway), Babica–Jawornik, Rzeszów Południe–Babica, Dukla–Barwinek
• S17 Tomaszów Lubelski South–Hrebenne and Zamość East–Zamość South – progress on the expressway to Ukraine
• Wrocław Eastern Bypass – construction is underway on the final section connecting Grota-Roweckiego Street and Karkonoska Avenue
• Construction of the Witomino bypass in Gdynia and the Northern Route in Szczecin
• The Brzoza, Skórcz (Provincial Road 231), Rynarcice ( Provincial Road 323), and Mogilno bypasses, and other provincial roads
• S6 Bożepole Wielkie–Słupsk – single-lane traffic in some sections; work is progressing
• S11 Bobolice–Szczecinek – continuation of the expressway construction in Western Pomerania
• S8 – More roadwork is underway

Changes in cities:

• Kraków – street reconstruction along the new tram line connecting the intersection of Meissnera and Lema Streets with the terminus in Mistrzejowice – please be aware of changes to traffic patterns!
• Gdańsk – Renovation of the overpass along Elbląska Street – potential traffic disruptions at a major Tri-City transportation hub
• Głuchołazy – a temporary bridge replacing the bridge currently under reconstruction in the town center
• Krapkowice – construction of a road and bridge between Provincial Road 423 and National Road 45, and renovation of National Road 45 and the bridge in Krapkowice

• the Łomża bypass has been opened to traffic, the entire Via Baltica is passable (from Warsaw to the border with Lithuania);
• a major update of parcel locker locations in the POI database,
• completion of the lane assist review on voivodeship roads and main roads in cities.

In addition, the following were prepared for unlocking (upon actual commissioning):

• the connector of the Aleksandrów Łódzki junction with Szczecińska Street in Łódź (DK72),
• the Dzwola bypass on DK74.

Here's what's new in map 24.09:

• Update of road picket data on national roads;
• Over 40,000 new address points,
• Changes in traffic organization on Bitwy Warszawskiej Street due to the construction of the tram line to Wilanów,
• Another major change in organization on the construction of the S7 Płońsk - Czosnów.

Here's what's new in the 24.07 map:

• The bypass of the town of Sokoły in Podlaskie Province has been opened;
• improvement of data regarding voice messages cont.

In addition, the following were prepared for unlocking (upon actual commissioning):

• Western bypass of Mrągowo and connector to the S16 expressway;
• A2 highway section Kałuszyn - Groszki;
• A2 highway section Siedlce Zachód - Siedlce Południe;

• Deduplication of electric vehicle charging points;
• launch of the SE bypass of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski and relocation of the DK9 number;
• another change in traffic organization on the construction of the S7 Płońsk - Czosnów;
• added alternative street names in over 200 locations.

In addition, the following were prepared for unlocking (upon actual commissioning):

• connection of Dąbrowica - Sieraków in the DW858 route;
• extension of Kolejowa Street in Dąbrowa Górnicza;
• bypass of Szczurowa in the DW964 route;
• bypass of Konarzewo, Rogozina and Zapolice.

• update of speed limits;
• target traffic management after the reconstruction of Wolska and Kasprzaka streets in Warsaw;
• change of organization on Spacerowa street in Warsaw;
• opened eastern bypass of Łańcut along the DW877 road;
• construction of the Great Island Avenue in Wrocław - bridge, reconstruction of intersections.

In addition, the following were prepared for unlocking (upon actual commissioning):

• western bypass of Gliwice from Daszyńskiego Street to Sowińskiego Street;
• construction of S3 - Bolków-Kamienna Góra;
• Lubraniec bypass;
• Sierpc bypass along DW560;
• extension of the N-S route in Ruda Śląska to Magazynowa Street;
• the so-called small bypass of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski.

Here's what's new on the maps:

• Consideration of the regulation regarding changes to national road routes.
• Consideration of the elimination of tolls for passenger cars and motorcycles on the A1 from Toruń to Gdańsk.

In addition, we have prepared the following for unlocking (at the time of actual commissioning):

• Northern bypass of Staszów.
• S11 from Koszalin to Bobolice.
• South-western bypass of Wolbrom, along the DW783 road.

Here's what's new on the maps:

• an increased pool of addresses to which you can get with AutoMapa;
• update of main roads in terms of maneuvers, which will translate into greater precision of navigation messages;
• tram tracks throughout Poland;
• major update of data concerning railway lines, inhabited areas and forest areas;
• routing on state-owned sections of the A2 (Konin – Stryków) and A4 (Wrocław – Sośnica) highways without toll charges;
• routing through the new tunnel under the Swina River in Świnoujście.

• Changes in Warsaw's Mokotów district due to the construction of the tram line to Wilanów.
• Expansion of DW878 to two lanes on the Jasionka - Rzeszów section.

In addition, we have prepared the following for unlocking (at the time of actual commissioning):

• S52 (Northern Krakow Bypass) on the section: Modlnica - Batowice.

• Section of the S61 Ostrów Mazowiecka - Śniadowo.
• South-western bypass of Przeworsk along the DW835.
• Connector of the Tarnów Mościce junction between the A4 motorway and Witosa Street in Tarnów.

Here's what's new on the maps:

• included the creation of 15 new cities between January 1, 2023, and now;
• significant enrichment of the building database - over 2 million new objects added;
• Al. 1 Maja and Dzieci Zamojszczyzny in Zamość expanded to two lanes;
• the eastern bypass of Wrocław made available for traffic.

In addition, we have prepared the following for unlocking (at the time of actual commissioning):

• the second carriageway of the Tomaszów Lubelski bypass along the S17 expressway;
• section of the S7 expressway from the voivodeship border to the Miechów junction;
• Górna Route III (DW714) in Łódź;
• extension of Korfantego Avenue in Zabrze;
• viaduct over the railway line connecting the northern bypass of Mielec with Lotniskowa Street;
• connector of the southern bypass of Sanok with the Beksiński roundabout.
