Box diets are moving to process automation.

Boxed diets are one of a number of industries that are increasingly looking to use third-party multi-point route planning and logistics optimization services - the transportation or insurance industries are also using similar solutions. Business customers are recognizing the benefits of using such personalized services, which very quickly translate into significant cost reductions and maintaining high standards of order handling. Automation of logistics is a necessary activity at the very first stage of development and it is worth entrusting it to specialists.

"Both larger brands and growing catering companies looking for a way to save money and increase the efficiency of their operations have analytical tools at their disposal to streamline the process of deliveries made with a large fleet of vehicles and to multiple customers on a single day. Especially for catering companies, we have developed the AutoMapa #lastmile System, which works in real-time mode. It's the ability to schedule work for all drivers simultaneously, taking into account equal occupancy within zones, and calculate an optimized route (in terms of time or route length). This reduces logistics costs, allows for optimal use of employees and optimal division of labor. In addition, the dispatcher is informed by the system about errors in order addresses, which eliminates mistakes in the logistics process already at the level of its planning," says Maciej Polkowski, Key Account Manager at AutoMapa.
"In the last six months, we have seen a significant increase in interest in our dietary offerings, which may have been influenced in part by our customers' return to office work and desire to save time in choosing their daily diet. The growing volume of orders also presents a number of challenges for us, mainly logistical. Every day we deliver more than a few thousand diets in Warsaw, the Tri-City and surrounding areas. This, in a way, forced us to automate delivery processes in our company and to cooperate with AutoMapa. Today we know exactly what our day will look like: how many kilometers the drivers will drive, in which zones of the city, in what time. We keep track of where we have already been and where the delivery is yet to be made. In the system we also have photos of each delivered package and a note from the driver at the order, and after delivery we can send a text message to the customer. This last feature of sending sms - contrary to our fears - has been very positively received by our customers. It eliminates the risk of the package being stolen from under the door and gives the customer the opportunity to take the diet to hide it in the refrigerator. Such a solution is the assurance that our services are carried out at the highest level, with attention to quality, health and time. And even if something goes wrong, we have an archive, we can check what happened to the package.

comments Piotr Bienkowski - manager of BoskiBox, a company that has already made more than several hundred thousand deliveries with the AutoMapa #lastmile system.
