AutoMapa Guide: Lane Assistant

2021-03-19

Do you know what makes driving easier and ensures you reach your destination without fail?

Everyone knows that a good assistant is an invaluable asset. And when, in addition, it subtly helps you make decisions, guiding you along the best route, regardless of the type of road and the number of available exits, then it must be a treasure from AutoMapa, i.e., the Lane Assistant, also known as the APR function.

How does APR work?

Thanks to this function, AutoMapa, in navigation mode, clearly indicates which lanes to choose to smoothly navigate even the largest intersections and junctions, or to properly exit a difficult roundabout. It takes into account the lane that will be best for us, considering subsequent maneuvers on the route (such as turning right from the right lane and immediately left from the left lane).

AutoMapa, Lane Assistant

AutoMapa's Lane Assistant works both in Poland and throughout Europe. The function is a great help when driving in a crowded city, where incorrect positioning in a lane prevents a smooth turn onto your route, and on multi-lane highways with numerous junctions, where a wrong decision regarding the exit costs many kilometers… The Assistant saves drivers from getting lost by showing in advance which lane to take to reach the destination.

APR is a function enabled by default in AutoMapa navigation. Changes can be made by going to Options (gear icon) -> Settings -> Visible elements -> Lane Assistant. However, we definitely recommend leaving the default setting and using AutoMapa's assistance.

The function has been recognized (on the company's Facebook page) by drivers who have been using navigation for years as one of the best that AutoMapa offers to drivers, right next to the Signs and Route Types functions.
